(This character is the first of the 'canon' characters. More will be posted soon. Such characters are initially relevant to the stories of many locations. A person can audition for and assume the role of a certain canon; if elected, this allows the selected character to become said person's, and said person's only. Until otherwise, each character can be assumed by whomever needs it to progress whichever storyline. Though these are initially integral to the storylines (as these are often the people that began the ball rolling), the pieces of a game of chess are constantly moving and being dispatched of, and pawns are often promoted to queens - what was once important may be done away with to allow room for original characters.
Benefits of using a canon character often include; a central story role, bonuses to initial statistics(as these are often prominent figures and have risen to their statuses not just through sheer luck), and a pre-made character. If a person desires to leave these as is, that is fine - if they wish to edit certain aspects, that is acceptable too. The sole thing that can not be changed of these characters is their history.
This information will soon be moved to a thread of its own and expanded upon further.)
Name
Conroy Dilon
Alias
Grandmaster Dilon, General Dilon
Birth Date [Age]
43,
Appearance
The appearance of Haven's leading officer may be unsettling to some - the man at once maintains a friendly presence, while encompassing nearby civilians with a sense of unease. The general lumbers above other men, standing at above six feet in height, an intimidating effect only increased by broad shoulders and a strong chin. A warm smile was known to caress his face, though more often this is seen contorted into some sort of grimace, often met with clinched eyebrows. The man's blonde hair is cropped short, as per normal militaristic fashion, though the various gray splotches hint at signs of age. Wrinkles crease portions of the man's face, though his eye's are still very alert, and very alive.
Magic User?
No.

It's Never Over
History
Conroy was born of noble blood within the city of Haven. As such, he lived quite a pampered lifestyle, in comparison to the general populace. In relation to fellow noble families however, his parents did not embellish him to the extent that his peers were by their own guardians. This may have derived from the fact that Conroy's parents were not of the same making as their associates; his father was a commoner turned knight, appointed by the king himself, while his mother was a simple, albeit well-off, tradeswoman, accustomed to making frequent trips to and from the domed city until her husband and herself settled down within its walls. With the woman's wealth and the man's renown, the couple were able to rise above the mere rank of commonfolk, and it is from this position that they they brought their child into the world. He was schooled in the walls of the Academy, and received high marks in both scholarly and more physical studies. As much was expected of the child - his father was highly regarded for service completed in the king's guard, should not the same be seen in his son?
This mindset accompanied Conroy for much of his youth, and even the early portions of his adulthood. Upon graduation from the Academy, the man found himself swiftly placed in a position of power, leading a lowly squad in minor expeditions around the surrounding country side. It was in these ventures that the man took his first steps beyond the walls that encompassed the whole of the city, and the Conroy felt a strange sense of determination stir within him; so much lay beyond, yet the civilians of the city held so little space between them. These expeditions spanned for some time - there was much work to be done, in securing the lay of the land. In these times, the man felled many a roving bandit or creature spawned from some dark crevice of the world. His combat abilities were seen as above average, but it was for his leadership that the man became truly renowned. Upon returning from his lengthiest journey yet, the man was anointed a position of power at the Academy, acting as an instructor to new recruits.
This, too, spanned for some time. In his teachings, the man won the loyalty of many of the army's soldiers. In working with these men, Conroy also found himself ascending the slippier political landscape. While having worked beneath the king in the past, Conroy had never had the opportunity to exchange mere pleasantries with Haven's ruler. However, the two found their paths crossing more frequently, as both often paid visit to the Academy, and found a natural bond forming between the other. While a genial relationship spawned, the two often held severe differences in philosophy - Conroy felt that Haven deserved, needed expansion; the king felt comfortable maintaining a healthy defensive position, and chose to focus on strengthening what was already theirs, as opposed to claiming what was not. Regardless of these fundamental differences, the two worked well together. In years to come, once the previous grandmaster, ruler of Haven's military made the decision to lay down his sword for good, it came as little surprise that Conroy was elected to fill the position. The man's positive relationship with so many warriors and nobles made this an easy transition.
However, not all was well. In recent years, Conroy had found himself involved in an increasingly dangerous relationship - with none other than the king's wife, Lidya. In his time spent with the king, the general found himself associating with the queen at an increasingly frequent rate as the years went on. The two soon began a romantic relationship which still remains hidden in the dark. It was not a purely physical entaglement; the two shared many similar ideas for the future of their kingdom. It was the queen herself that suggested the dispatching of the king. For reasons unknown to any but his own self, Conroy went forward with the poisoning of the king - the likes of which was regarded by many as naught but a severe illness. Politics were not severe enough within the walls of Haven to elicit murder, especially not that of the king.
In the time since, while the city remains kingless, Conroy has established himself ruler using the power of his connections. Working closely with the queen, the two plot courses for expansion - they plot to conquer all of the middle continent.
