Annie's

Annie's is a tavern and pub ran by a now very old Annie. Her son and daughter aid the old woman in running the establishment; it was previously a husband-wife enterprise, though the husband passed away some time ago.
The structure spans only two stories, and while the rooms are spaced graciously, the walls are paper-thin. Breakfast at the restaurant attracts many of the town's citizens, and is a favorite of visitors. Annie has enjoyed her fair share of experimenting with a variety of tea flavors, conjured from herbs found on the mountaintop, and the results are another thing lending the inn renown.

Hot Springs

The waters of the Blessing are said to have a healing quality, and given the proposed story of its origin, this doesn't seem too incredulous of an idea, though you can't be sure who started the rumor - travelers or citizens of the city. Regardless, the pools of hot water bring the settlement its fair share of traffic, much of which drives its commerce. The springs are free to use, and are spread throughout the area surrounding the town.
The pools of water sink deep into the mountain's top, and trickle off, leaving streams of water spiraling downwards towards the ground. If a person occupied a pool nearer to the edge of the mountain, they'd have the ability to gaze out over much of the Middle Continent as they soaked.

Ruined Tower

An old sentry tower left abandoned once the wars were ended. Its height scales nearly half the width of the mountain it sits beside.
A variety of rumors circulate around the tower, suggesting that it may be more than a cryptic reminder of a time long-since passed. Some claim that the light at the top of the structure, once a warning for oncoming danger, has been seen to light itself - though perhaps there's something within the tower lighting it. Others swear that the tower is haunted with the ghost of soldiers fallen long ago in battle. Such has been the hearsay of the Blessing since its settlement. Few have delved into the darkness of the tower, and not much came from those expeditions.

Board Description
The Blessing
A small trek up the base of the mountain leads you to a city that resides on the cliff of the structure, situated atop where the head looks to be. The city is a simpler one - its buildings are constructed from bricked mud and hay. A town hall stands in its center, where its various politicians work diligently to manage the settlement. Surrounding it lay a series of residential houses. Both a marketplace and farmland are absent from the city; rather than selling goods, its citizens trade items directly for another. Small gardens are found beside many of the houses; this is where much of the city's produce originates from, for it is small enough to be sufficient on these. The Blessing has some of the world's most talented tanners - Alfrit's leather is a luxurious commodity to many soldiers and warriors; many kingdoms commonly send merchants or representatives to trade for the stuff.
A large population of the males here are hunters, and as such are away from home very often.

Elka: This would make it so one person's voice for a character doesn't become overwhelming.
reisamu: I actually like Elka's idea... We could see the interpretations. However, I'm not so sure about it being a week for people to play a certain character. Maybe at the max, 3 days, but a week would expend a lot of time... And I believe a person would know
reisamu: whether they are comfortable with a character within the first day, or even hours pending on how much they put into it y'know?
Rehjul: Hi, guys; sorry for my recent absence - been tackling a lot of issues. Heading out to run some drills with the fire department right now; once I get back I'll be able to finish work on the forums. I think your idea would work very well, Elka. The length of
Rehjul: the rotations can be discussed later. I'll create a thread regarding it once I get back.
jalista: I think that's a good idea, but maybe 3 threads instead of three days? Three days isn't long if your partner isn't really active.
reisamu: No worries Knight. I must apologize for my absence here as well. Work and school have been getting the better of me. I have been working on my character sheet little by little though. So expect that soon. ^^
Aria: Hey guys! sorry about the absence... School started in fast for me, but i think i've finally gotten the feel of it. I agree with Elka rotating the position but maybe in giving that person a post limit instead of a time limit, since it takes some people to
Aria: more time to reply than others! Otherwise canons (as sean knows) would be a great idea to get things really started here on the forum.
Rehjul: Okay. I'm officially back now.
Rehjul: I'm very excited to see what sort of character you come up with, Reisamu, and am looking forward to having you begin adventuring with us!
Rehjul: I'd also fully support Jalista's idea. I believe that may be the best way to go, though I would perhaps bump that to five threads.
Rehjul: Sorry, Jalista. I was hoping to have a reply up before classes began, but it doesn't seem like that will be happening. However, it'll be completed and posted as soon as I return.
jalista: I'll hopefully have a reply up for you tonight, Knight.
Rehjul: Sorry for the wait - I'll have yours posted tonight!
Rehjul: Okay! I was a day later than I'd hoped to be, but it is up!
Elka: Hey, guys. Sorry I haven't been around. Work was rough the last two weeks. I'm done with it now until school, though, so I hope to be able to start getting things done soon and join a thread here.
Rehjul: Not a problem! Real life should definitely take precedent, and I hope things have gotten better with your job. I've spoken to Reisamu, and he'll hopefully have his character up and be ready to join in soon, too. The two of you may be able to get something
Rehjul: worked out, if either of you held an interest.
Elka: .
