Rules for posting both in-character and out will soon be found here.
In-Character:
Every Time You Think You're Walking You're Just Moving the Ground -
The forums are organized in a fashion that should help you relate their distance. Please don't randomly apparate from one end of the continent to the next, unless something in your character's skillset allows for that. Travel, especially with partners, is a great character-building exercise. And who knows what sort of adventures await you and your companions on the wide, open roads!
And I Knew Then, I Was Not Magnificent -
You are not a god - unless you are, but chances are slim. Do not behave as such. The average modern citizen has difficulty running a mile - people inhabiting the lands can endure much more, but every man, and woman, has their limits. Don't be afraid to acknowledge these; a flawed character is an interesting character. Pretending that these don't exist may hamper the experience of others. If this should come to pass, a moderator may be forced to step in.
Just Kidding Like Jason. 'Less You Gunna Do It -
Love and play is fine, but we need no smut here. This may be revisioned at a later date, to include specific areas, but for now please attempt to keep sexual content below a PG-17 level. Thank you.
You'd Look Real Pretty in a Grave -
Death is not something agreed upon, in reality. We're enacting an experimental sort of rule, in that two characters do not have to have received mutual agreement in order to inflict mortal wounds unto the other. However, this is still not a thing to be done lightly, and must be adequately accomplished. A single post claiming that one character ran up to and stabbed the other will be ignored. Deadly intent should be implied in posts leading to the engagement, and both players are expected to behave respectfully towards the other - this means there is still no god-modding on either end. One can not automatically deflect the blow of another, and it is mighty hard to strike down a fleeing foe.
Death Was a Dim-Witted Soul, But He Wasn't Grim -
Even so, in a world where gods walk among men and giants march the lands, death need not be the end. Resurrection is not a thing to be taken lightly, but may be achievable. A person may appear dead at the end of a combat sequence, but appearances have been known to deceive. And that which doesn't kill us...
Why Are You Wearing That Stupid Rabbit Suit?-
Your in-character and out-of-character person possess two separate knowledge banks! Keep this in mind, and do not incorporate knowledge obtained out-of-character during your roleplays.
Out-of-Character:
Smile More Often Than You Do; It's The Healthy Thing to Do -
Keep a positive attitude! Small acts of courtesy can really brighten a person's day, and a happy person leads to a happy community.
Be a Martyr Before a Murderer -
Attacking a person for personal attributes of any sort will not be tolerated. This applies for out-of-character interactions only; your character is free to be as nasty as it well pleases to other characters, though if this is taken beyond the extent of the fictional realm, severe repercussion will be dealt by a heavy hand.
Wielding Your Tongue Like It Was a Sword -
Keep the shoutbox and general discussion areas clean from an excess of perversion and profanity. It helps give the forum a neater appearance, and helps to not alienate anyone that doesn't participate in such behaviors. Again, this is a rule exclusive to out-of-character positioning.
