All during the night, the ship was carried by a peacefully flowing wind. The temperature of the air was perfect, not too hot and humid, and not too cold and nippy. Despite the great conditions of the ship's sailing, Anne constantly found herself tormented with a stinging sensation on her leg, which was her un-healed wound. She could not stay asleep for more than 20 minutes at a time and she eventually just didn't even bother going back to sleep. Around 4am was when she gave up, and stumbled over to the edge of the ship, looking out into the ocean groggily.
"...I need to get some noni fruit, quick." Anne mumbled to herself before she noticed that they were almost right up on a shore of an island already. She seemed to suddenly liven up and ran over to the crank to lower the anchor. Not wanting to wake or disturb everyone, she also carefully lowered the draw bridge. The princess slowly walked down the walkway from the ship and went over to the water, cleaning her leg wound with the sea's salt water.
"I guess I'm gonna have another battle scar to brag about after this heals up..." Anne began to walk on the shore of this new island blindly due to the early-morning sky, dodging any sharp shells that would pierce into her boots.
Unsurprisingly, Anne began to venture off into a small tropical patch in search of a fruit with known healing capabilities, Noni fruit. Luckily, she found a large noni fruit and slammed it up against a tree so it would bleed out its juices. She smoothed the fruit's juice against her leg's wound and the pain immediately began to cease. "Yes, perrrrrrrr----fect...."
"ANNE." a voice whispered loudly. Anne jumped at the demonic whisper and her body locked up in horror. "I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN YEARS, YOU SURE HAVE GROWN UP INTO A DESIRABLE YOUNG WOMAN. WHY ARE YOU OUT HERE ALONE, WHERE ARE YOUR SOLDIERS? WHERE IS YOUR MAP TO THE LEGENDARY PATHWAY?."
Anne grunted arrogantly at the voice. "Vield. I thought Rombal's army had slayed all of your kind. Especially you, their leader." The princess kept her guard up, staring directly into the night air.
"An island pure enough to grow fruit such as noni shouldn't be tainted by the mere presence of a shape-shifting Doppleganger." the female warrior growled lowly.
The air in front of Anne soon began to transform into a wrinkly pale demonic figure with a tall and skinny disposition. It had glowing red tribal-like markings all over its body and a mane of long matted black hair reached down to the back of his ankles. His face was totally out of proportion with enormous Geko-like green eyes and a skinny pointed nose, with the long and needle-filled mouth of an ogre. He attempted to reach out and put his claws on Anne's form, but she quickly avoided him. The entity leapt at Anne and grabbed onto her, locking her eyes with his. With his eyes, he put Anne under a spell of deep sleep and dropped her lifelessly to the ground after had stared at her for over 10 minutes. Soon, the demon took the shape of Anne and had every single physical feature of her. His voice even sounded like her's, but not exactly. He hid Anne's body in a safe, secluded place, since if something were to happen to her, he would go back into his original form.
"Not bad." the doppleganger bounced around for a few seconds, getting used to his new form. He automatically assumed that the large pirate ship on the shore was the princess's. He proceeded towards it. "Now, to find that legendary map..."

Elka was curled up under the stairs of the deck of the ship when she heard Rolf whine anxiously. Suddenly awake, she sat up quickly, smashing her head into the stairs above her. "Who's 'ere?" she asked stupidly, rubbing the back of her abused head.
Crawling out of the stairwell with a grunt, she saw that they were already on the shore of what seemed to be a rather large island. The air was no longer the hot, humid, and rather nasty climate that she had grown used to in the Lost Islands. Instead, it was a fairly mild temperate, and not even cloudy. She could just barely make out the faint light of a city on the horizon, though the soft, pink glow of sunrise had already begun.
Yawning loudly, Elka walked onto the deck, looking to see what her dog had been so upset about. "There's nothing," she said reassuringly to him, patting him on the head. "This is Fincayra, I think. Quit being so nervous, you crazy dog."
Something about the ship seemed odd, though Elka just could not seem to be able to figure out what it was. Pacing the floor boredly, Elka realized what seemed so amiss. Anne was gone. That's odd, she thought sleepily, walking to the rail and looking out over the shell-filled shore.
She was just about to wake up the others to go looking for her when she saw what appeared to be Anne walking back to the ship, albeit in a rather unusually gaited step.
"Hey!" Elka called, waving over the railing. "Missed you, Knife!" Something about Anne still seemed a little off, though, something that Elka could just not figure out. What was it?

Bishop was in the rats nest when the ship pulled up on land. He was thinking on ways on a new attack when he noticed Anna left the ship. He knew that she wanted to go exploring but it was weird because she was gone a long time and she didn’t seem like the girl would go out on her own in a place they don’t know.
When she came back bishop was just getting done stretching. When he noticed that another crew mate was up he climbed down the nest and onto the deck. He thought to himself "maybe I should sit this one out I mean I can introduce my self later." He then decides to come out and say good morning to both of the girls.

The Doppleganger of Anne seemed to awkwardly stomp its way up to the deck of the ship, with the strangest look in its eye. It shot a quick glance at Elka and figured that it was one of Anne's crew members, so the clone tried to play it cool.
"H-Hello there!" the fake Anne grinned in a horrid way to Elka, then turned towards Bishop. "Good morning.... er, can anyone of you tell me where the legendary map is? I have seemed to misplace it..."
The clone's voice had a sinister "after-tone" to it that made it seem like the "Anne" that stood before Elka and Bishop was a mad psycho killer. The fake Anne walked over to Bishop in a "suggestive" way and hung onto him affectionately like a attention-hungry house cat. "Come on, we've been best friends since we were children, right right? I'm sure you can help me find it..."
The clone started to grow more uneasy as he noticed the look of confusion on Elka's face after he had said that Anne and Bishop had been friends since child hood, when in reality, they had own each other for a few hours at the most.
"Is there something..... wrong?" the clone of Anne looked a Elka in a concerned, yet psychotic way. After a moment of awkward silence, the clone spoke again. "I see. I guess I will have to find that cursed map myself!" the clone bounded off again, walking in its odd way to search throughout the ship for the legendary map.

Fearn frowned as Bishop went off. "Great, now I have to make breakfast myself," she muttered. She didn't even know where she would find the materials. In the end, she found something that looked vaguely edible in a crate near the stables, and ate that. She tried to push the idea that she might be eating horse food out of her mind; it wasn't really that hard, though, since it didn't taste all that bad.
Coming out, Fearn saw that Anne was coming back. "Hi, Knife!" she yelled. Then she noticed how she was acting. Even her walk was weird. Fearn tried not to stare as Anne started practically mauling Bishop.
"Er, right... Is something wrong with you? You are Knife, aren't you?" Fearn asked, echoing the clone, and hoping she wasn't talking to a twin or anything. The odd voice was beginning to creep her out. It was atypical of Anne, not to mention the fact that it was just plain bizarre.
Also atypical of Anne was 'misplacing' the map. Fearn doubted Anne would ever leave it for long, and she probably wouldn't be so cavalier about it either. "What the hey?" Fearn muttered to herself as 'Anne' scurried away. "Am I the only one who thinks something fishy is going on here?"

Pere strolled onto the deck after a short nap. As he stretched and yawned loudly, the ranger suddenly noticed that the ship was not rocking in the waves.
"Umm..." Pere said as he looked around. "Oh I see that we have found land."
(ooc: I still have the map right?)

Bishop looked at Anna and said "are you ok I mean we never know each other until a few hours ago and at that time I was trying to kill you." Bishop then sized up Anna thinking about what she did earlier.

Elka stared at the almost-Anne in shock. That voice was just plain creepy, in her opinion. "What the hey?" she muttered confusedly Since when had Anne and Bishop been friends? Last she had heard, Bishop was a fanged monster on the side of the evil god-king. She raised an eyebrow at Fearn and followed the almost-Anne across the deck of the ship.
At first Elka had expected this all to be a joke, but now she wasn't so sure. What was this deal over the map? Anne had known where it was, and definitely had not lost it in the half hour since she'd left.
In this situation Elka was more than a little unsure of what to do. Bishop and Fearn were just as confused as she was, and Pere had just woken up, by the looks of him. Grumbling curses to herself, she turned to confront the almost-Anne at the corner of the ship.
"Listen, I don't know what's up with you today, but whatever it is, it needs to stop," she said to 'Anne', half accusing and half confused. "Either you've really gone nuts, have gone off and gotten yourself possessed by some freak who's obsessed with this pathetic map, or you're not Knife at all, just some creepy impostor. Frankly, I've seen better impostors in my lifetime, but that's off the subject. Whatever's going on, you'd best spit it out." she finished, while subconsciously seizing the hilt of her dagger.

Dante sighed while walking back and forth on the deck. He looked at Elka who looked like she was about to get into a fight with Anne. He hadn't really been involed much with anything that the group has done ever since they came back from that island he felt different. He looked at Elka who still seemed pretty mad at Anne...But she was right...Something wasn't right about Anne.
"Well Maybe Anne would rather make friends than enemies..." He said lightly.
He said then walked over to Elka. Then he quickly pulled out a knife and put it to the fake Anne's throat.
"Who the hell are you!?!" He said eyes changing to red and he also had a deeper ton in his voice. He looked at the fake Anne with his piercing red eyes.
"And you better not lie to me...." He said then pressed the knife closer to the fake Anne's throat.

The evil clone of Anne cackled sinisterly despite the sharp weapon that was held to his throat.
"Why, whatever do you mean? I am the real Anne, your friend! Clearly you don't see anything different on my body..." the fake Anne cooed, but noticed that everyone was extremely suspicious. The doppleganger scrolled his eyes over to Pere's side, noticing the map in his pocket. It was now or never, and the doppleganger made his move, swiftly. The clone seemed to supernaturally force Dante's knife away from his throat and glided past Peregrinus, taking the map in his hand. The doppleganger turned into a black shadow, and seemed to fly away back into the direction the real Anne had traveled in the beginning.
Once he went back into his secluded area, he went back into his distorted demon form. "I HAVE IT, I HAVE IT! MWEHEHEHEE!" the demon said, cackling. Soon, a gang of 5 other larger demons appeared in thin air, surround the first to celebrate along with him. They all seemed to send praises amongst themselves in their own language. The real Anne was still out cold, and was in a deep sleep.
"So what do we do with the girl?" one of the demons growled. They all surrounded Anne, looking down at her on the ground.
"I say we dispose of her, humans are useless." a buff demon barked angrily. "However, we could still use her DNA to add to one of our spells."

A rather sleepy Pere had not really been paying attention to the whole fiasco that had been unfolding. However, as the body Anne suddenly transformed into a shadowy figure, the ranger quickly drew his sword. Although, that did little to stop him as the shadow passed right through him while also stealing the map. With a very angry look on his face, Pere charged down the bridge to the shore.
"Okay you shade. Time to taste some steel."

Fearn stared as the impostor-thing made a run for it, after stealing the map. She laughed bitterly to herself, thinking that the whole situation was actually rather hilarious. Here she was, with a group of people who were by all standards random, while a shape-shifting demon stole maps and attacked her friends. No wonder "May you live in interesting times" was considered a curse. Her life was certainly interesting, and she was glad for that, but at the same time having friends be impersonated by demons was not the sort of excitement she liked.
When Peregrinus bolted off the ship, yelling at what he called a "shade", Fearn snapped out of her pensive moment. "Hmm... so that's what it's called... a shade. And here I was thinking shade was a natural patch of shadow," she muttered, turning away from the deck of the ship.
"Hey Elka, I'm going to go scrounge up something to go demon-bashing with. Care to join in the ghostly fun?" she said in mock cheeriness. Not waiting for an answer, she trotted down to the other side of the ship and overturned a few crates.
"Let's see what those pirates left!" Fearn cackled, rummaging through the stuff with a piece of wood from a crate. She didn't want to touch the rubbish, because it smelled worse than a landfill, like a combination of rotting fish, vomit, blood, and unwashed socks. Her search brought up many objects that had probably not seen sunlight in years, such as ripped pants, a chain, frayed and barnacle covered rope, and what looked horribly like human bones (Fearn yelped as she found those).
Eventually, Fearn found some things that looked like they could be useful. In one crate, under a few mouldering feathers and rotting documents that she had no interest in, she found a few things that she thought could qualify as weapons. By most standards they would be considered scrap metal, but Fearn shrugged that off, reminding herself that beggars couldn't be choosers. She picked out a nasty, slightly corroded and rusty pirate sword for herself (though she didn't even want to have to touch it, it was so disgusting), and then abandoned the crates to Elka.
Having something to at least try to defend her otherwise wussy self with, Fearn marched over to go and take out Aurum. Quickly pulling on the pony's tack, she led Aurum down the ramp and into the water. Vaulting into the saddle, she kicked Aurum into a gallop and raced to catch up with Pere and the demon/shadow/shade/impostor thing.
"And you can taste rust as well, little shadow! 'Cuz I've got loads of it here! Oxidization galore!" she yelled wildly, still far behind. "Hurry up, slow pony!"

Elka jumped in shock as the almost-Anne suddenly transformed into the shade-like black figure and flew away with the map that he's stolen from Pere's pocket. "Dratted things, how come we keep getting followed by these cursed monsters all over creation wanting this dratted map? If I see one more creature come traipsing by looking for the stupid thing, I'll tell him that it's a map of the zoo and to go mind his own business." Elka commented dryly to Fearn, following her to the boxes below the deck.
"How the hey are we supposed to find anything useful in this heap of junk?" she asked, staring at the crates that lay scattered around them. They must have held years worth of the discarded items of the pirates, and what was in them seemed to be rather random.
Elka sighed and got down to work trying to find a weapon to use in addition to her daggers. She knelt next to Fearn and began tearing through the rubbish, throwing anything that wasn't of interest behind her. Some of the items would surely not be legal on the mainland. Numerous forged documents, all waterlogged and full of holes, lay scattered throughout the box, as well as a makeshift press for making counterfeit money and the fore-mentioned bones found by Fearn.
Eventually Elka found what she thought she was looking for - another ancient, rusty sword like that found by Fearn. Grinning, she hauled it out of the box, only to find that it was jaggedly broken to a point a little over halfway down the blade. She cursed under her breath, but tested the blade on the box's edge anyway. It seemed sharp enough, and despite it's poor condition, she kept it. However, she also brought along an old, battered iron crowbar as well. Why not be prepared? Who knew whether there would be doors to pry and skulls to bash?
With her newly found equipment, she stomped back out onto the deck after Fearn. Yelling her usual warcries, she followed her into an ungainly charge through the water, Rolf in tow.
Reason for Editing: SPELLING ERROR!!! (You're surprised...why?)

One of the demons stooped down closely to Anne and examined her body. Softly and carefully, he grabbed onto a few strands of her brunette hair and snipped it out with his sharp index claws. After that, he lowered his mouth to a unhealed wound on her wrist, lightly tasting her exposed blood.
"This girl is definately not unhealthy. Shes very strong and of breeding age. A human female of this potency would be the ultimate ingredient for our resurrection spell. We'd be idiots to throw away such a great specimen!" the demon sprang up, and picked up Anne's body from the ground without a single sweat and hung her over his shoulder. Anne was still completely unconscious, otherwise, all 5 demons would be decapitated already.
"Not to mention that she is of royal blood." noted the demon who had taken the form of Anne from earlier. "Lets take the princess to the labratory to prepare her for the resurrection seremony. The map to the legendary pathway combined with the Princess's flesh will surely awaken our King, and release him from his eternal imprisonment! With him as our leader, our race shall flourish and rule the planet once again as it did thousands of years ago in the beginning!"
After a brief pep rally amongst the demons occured, all the jumping around made Anne's dragon eye fall out of her boot and roll into the bushes. They all immediately froze.
"We are being watched, lets go." in a split second all 5 demons dissappeared into the early morning air, along with Anne. They were headed to their hidden ancient labratory to get Anne ready for her "debut" to the slumbering doppleganger lord.
However, her dragon's eye gleamed supernaturally in the bushes.

Bishop streachted a little bit before he got ready to leave the boat. he grab his equitment and started to walk after everone eles. He was intriged by the demon and wonder why this demon would take the shap of anne and come back to the boat for a map but for any reason he knew that this dark shadow should not be left up to the capble hands of fate. So Bishop quickend his pace after the other until he began running at full speed and quickly catching up to the pony since he as a werewofl and all.
Bishop finally got to a distance to where he could see a glowing light in the brush and stopped as he wait for the others.

Elka paused in mid yell to see the great demon-shadow creature fly down into the bushes, then fly out, this time holding Anne in its claws. It was followed by four others, just as hideous and threatening.
For a second, Elka felt frozen to the spot. Then, with a cry of fury, she charged on in a mad rage, dashing wildly across the sand. "You cursed scummy, filthy monsters!" she shouted madly, awkwardly lobbing the crowbar at the largest of them. "Leave my friends alone, you stupid fleabags!"
Rolf looked at her as if she was insane. (which may not have been an understatement at the current time)
She continued ranting for some time as the creatures disappeared, looking somewhat amused with themselves. Cursing to herself, Elka sat down on the sand, looking beat. "I hate life," she groaned, idly kicking at the sand. With a sigh, she dragged herself back up and walked into the woods that the creatures had come from.
It seemed as if all the shadow-demons had already left. Seeing Bishop, Elka gave him a polite nod, hoping with everything she had that he had not seen her insanity moments before.
Rustling in the bushes, Elka noticed a faint reddish glow emanating from the bushes. She dug around the area, and found the source of the light: Anne's dragon's eye.
She had heard that the eye could show people images, and had seen it burn the shadows and fend off monsters. Certainly it was something of great power. Though she didn't know how to use it, Elka picked up the eye, and stared into its depths. Inside, she saw a jumble of shapes, everything from Fearn to the ocean to the zombies. If only she could figure out how to see where the monsters had taken her friend... Maybe Fearn could help her. "Yelena, get over here!" she cried suddenly, hoping that she heard her. Time was of the essence here, she suspected.

After getting off the ship, Knight walked over to Elka. When he saw the Dragon's Eye, he studied it for a second and then held it. For a few minutes, nothing happened, but a light began to suddenly emanate from the eye. It began as just a trickle of light, but suddenly, it flashed in a brilliant mix of colors and carved a path of bright light through the forest. "Over here." He said, and began walking in the direction that Anne was being held.
