(I'm pretty much replying to Dante's post, #63, in the Immortal God of the Shadows Thread... here it goes!) Anne looked around as everyone was silenced due to the "king's" sudden appearance. The princess immediately picked up a strange vibe from the man that spoke to Dante and soon disappeared into his throne room. "Stay here, you guys." Anne spoke to her friends as she approached the king and stood before him, still with her newly acquired spear and small sword in her hands. Anne felt sick to her stomach because she was feeling a strong presence of darkness and hate in the area. "What is this feeling, this darkness... you aren't human, you beast! You're the immortal Dark messenger.... Apophis!" Anne yelled furiously at the king. "Show your true self, you coward!" "Indeed, I will, my dear." the king stood up and the whole area that they were in began to shift and transform into a lava filled void. Anne stared in awe as the king's form began to grow into his large, beastly god form. The god stomped towards Anne with intentions to destroy her right then and there, but then he got a glimpse of the dragon's eye she held in her hand. Oddly, the god of death began to laugh. "The eye of the Dragon! The eye of the dragon!! Your destiny has already been sealed, for that orb you hold in your hand is the key to your doom, not I!" his voice boomed, but he seemed to stay away from the dragon eye's rapid glowing. "I bet it has already spoken to you and your friends, hasn't it!? You have already tapped into its magic... your fate has been sealed!!"

Dante looked at the king speechless. He put his hand on the butt of his sword as a safety precausion just incase. The king noticed that Dante was suprised at his new form. The king turned around and looked at Dante.
"Are you suprised?!? This is my true form. Now you can see the immense power of the darkness....And if not mistaken you have a little one of my shadows in you also..."
He said referring to when Dante absorbed a shadow and it gave him more strength. The king turned back to Anne with his huge sword in hand then he smiled at her then swung his blade with suprising quickness.

(I shall also continue from Dante's post)
After somehow avoiding everything (please don't ask how), Pere dragged himself up from the pit into the mansion. The ranger drew his bow as he began to sneak his way through the rather large house. Each room provided its own beauty and majesty. However, none of them held the king with 'Knife' (I still don't know your real name do I?) and Dante.
Finally after searching nearly everywhere else, Pere found what he knew must be the King's bedroom. The massive, oak double doors had to be the entrance. Sliding delicately in, the ranger turned to see the king. He felt the hairs on the back of his neck almost stand straight as the darkness of the monster seeped into Pere's soul. As in a trance, the rranger was unable to move for an eternity while he stared at the massive dark king. The raising of king's sword broke the trace as Pere instintive fired an arrow towards the monster. However, the tiny tip of steel seemed pathetic compare to the dark lord.
(Whoever wants to choose where or even if the arrow hits the knig is fine by me)

Anne barely missed being annihilated by the god's sword swipe. His sword had managed to chop her spear into two pieces and a gust of wind followed right after that and threw Anne to the ground. She sat there on the ground submissively as the god approached her once again. Luckily, Pere's arrow had stalled the god momentarily as Anne scrambled to retrieve her dragon's eye.
"There is no way I could win this fight, what was I thinking!?" Anne thought loudly to herself in her head. "However... I could never pass up such a powerful sword!"
The princess leapt to her feet and held out her dragon's eye towards the king, walking closer to him. Surprisingly, the king began to retreat away from Anne.
"What are you doing!? You must get rid of that thing, it is your doom!" the immortal dark messenger lied to Anne, groaning due to the bright light of her orb.

Meanwhile, back at the pit, Elka was trying to find a way to get herself and Rolf out without climbing the rope. Eventually, after numerous times of trial and error, she found a sloping crack in the wall that led up to the ground floor. Hauling the dog behind her (he was seeming heavier by the second), Elka leapt out onto the floor, still managing to hold the spear she had taken from the cavern.
For a long moment, she stared wildly around the hall, looking for the right way to go. What must have been twenty doors lined the hall, and she, not having the same skills that Peregrinus did, had no way of figuring out which way to go. She had almost given up when she remembered that the dog could find where everyone had gone - with his nose. "Find 'em, Rolfie!" she whispered, and he lunged off into one of the rooms.
It was an enormous room, but Elka had little time to think about its size. At its center was a giant creature that Elka assumed to be the "king". He was dark, and gigantic, though he seemed almost to be cringing back from Anne. Squinting, Elka saw that she held the "dragon's eye" in her hand, glowing its strange, magical color. "Knew there was something odd about that thing," she muttered, inching her way into the room, spear tighly held in hands.
Trotting in next to Pere, she set her spear in the attack position she had seen the fighters at the practice grounds use in mock battles. "He's lying about that eye," she commented, trying her hardest to pretend that she wasn't scared of the monsterous god before her.

Anne smirked at the god's cringing movements. "Apophis, I believe this will be YOUR doom!"
"No!" the god swatted his enormous arm quickly at Anne but missed, smashing his fist into a nearby cobblestone wall. The wall crumbled into pieces, but also revealed something to Anne that immediately took her by surprise.
"...T-T The ancient oracle, the wheel of Rye! It's here!? No wonder the king wanted to take control of this area... so no one could access its holy energy and do harm to him!" The female warrior began to run over to the oracle to place her dragon's eye on it to activate its holy energy. However, the immortal god was not going to let her defeat him that easily.
The god raised his arms up, pointing his sword's blade down to the ground and stabbed the floor underneath him, causing a wide variety of cracks to form in the floor that eventually grew into large bottomless pits. Anne fell due to the sudden earthquake and found herself barely hanging onto a ledge of one of the cracks in the ground.
"Augh---- oh no!!"" Anne tried to scramble to get up, not being able to hold on for much longer. "Someone, get the eye to the oracle, quickly!! I don't think I can make it!!"

The earth shook beneath Pere's feet as he tried to regain some balance. As the crack increased, the walls and ceiling began to break up as many of the supports gave way. The ranger didn't have to look up as the sound of splinting wood came from above.
"Elka, watch out!" With a violent shove, Pere managed to push the girl out of the way as he dove away from the reckage. A large section of ceiling now separated Pere and Elka. However, the ranger noticed Anne was in a more dire situation.
"Anne, hold on!" The ranger drew another arrow while he broke into a dead sprint towards the hanging dansel. Sliding on one knee, Pere fired the arrow aiming for the creatures head. Throwing down his bow, he reached to grab Anne.
"Come on, grab my hand. I'll pull you up."

Elka stumbled out of the way just in time before getting squished by a rather large portion of the ceiling. Silently thanking Peregrinus for helping her get out of the way, she instead moved her attention towards a greater problem: the god-king himself.
Seeing as Anne had the only way of defeating him, the Eye, and she was currently unreachable behind the shattered remains of the ceiling, Elka was left with only one choice to help them. She decided that she would need to create a diversion of some sort, though preferably not one that would end with her skewered on the end of the monster's sword. The only thing left to do was try her luck.
Springing lighting in front of the monster, she raised her spear in what she hoped to be a menacing fashion. "Oy you, Bigfoot! Ya, you! Ya think you're so great, breaking the floor like that, eh? I'm so impressed, you put a few holes in the ground. Scary." she shouted sarcastically. Just causing a diversion... she thought wryly. With an unladylike grunt of effort, she lunged forward to hurl her spear at the enormous 'king'.

Fearn waited behind in the tunnel as the others went on to follow the king. She had a bone to pick with the shadows- not that they had any bones, but nonetheless, she was hungry for revenge. Fearn used the last few of her matches to shrivel the shadows into nothing, before gathering up her broken bow and plopping down on the ground to mope.
Not more than a few minutes later, Fearn felt a cold, slimy wet object touch her cheek. She jumped up, yelling in surpise, her dagger slashing outwards. Hearing a whimpering noise, she relaxed.
"Oh, it's just you, Rolf," she sighed in relief. The dog wouldn't leave her alone, though. He nudged her up, before leading her off down the hall way.
Fearn and Rolf made made it to the room where the god was situated much quicker than the previous people had. panting slightly, Fearn kicked open the door, spear at the ready. She was furious, and had a score to settle with the god, whom she believed at fault for Dante's insanity and therefore the loss of her bow.
"Look you stupid--!!!" she began, before halting in her tracks. She had arrived just in time to see the now enormous, evil looking god/king drive the sword into the ground. "Uh oh..."
Dashing into the room, Fearn leapt around cracks that had opened in the ground and dodged bits of breaking ceiling. "Geronimo!" she yelled, shouting her favorite war cry. She hurled her spear for the god's face, a wild grin on hre face. Nevermind the gigantic sword- Fearn was angrier than a bear woken before spring.

As soon as Pere offered out his hand to help her from the ledge, Anne leapt and clung onto Peregrinus' arm so tightly that she almost pulled him down into the pit also.
"Peregrinus, you're a lifesaver! I owe ya one!" Anne panted after she was safely on the ground, with a dazed and shooken up look on her face. She shook off the fact that she was really close to falling to her death and started to swiftly make her way towards the wheel of rye, leaping from debris to debris. Luckily, she still held a tight grasp onto the orb that would defeat the god they were all battling.
Meanwhile, the immortal god, Apophis, was being bombarded by spears and arrows right into his face. He angrily stomped his way quickly over to Fearn and Elka and extended his hand out to grab them both at the same time within his large jagged palm.
"Pitiful humans, so weak!" the god king roared, with small bursts of flames coming out of his mouth.
"Yelena, Elka!!" Anne watched in horror. She had reached the wheel of rye already and was desperately trying to figure out exactly what to do to active the oracle's holy energy. There were many undescribable symbols and letters that she could not understand. "Crap!!" Anne growled, but soon started to notice odd, round indentations within the wheel.

Dante looked with a smile on his face as the Dark Messenger was slowly defeated. Everything was going according to plan. He knew the Dark Messenger would be defeated then he would harness his power and defeat the intruders and then rule the kingdom for himself. The king turned around and looked at Dante.
"Help me! Why are you just standing there!?!"
Dante gave an evil smile.
"I don't plan on helping you. Infact I plan on taking your power for myself."
The king took out a little vile filled with something.
"Well if you want to try to be as powerful as me drink this..."
The King tossed the vile and Dante caught it. Dante drank whatever was in it then. Waited....untill....
"Holy Crap where am I?!? Whats going on and...Whats this armor I'm wearing?" He said completely confused.

Fearn was too busy hopping around the room trying not to get squished to notice Apophis clomping towards her. All of a sudden, she was very high up in the air.
"OY! Look you, LET. ME. DOWN!!!" she commanded at the top of her lungs. She had dropped her spear, and was reduced to slashing at the god's hand with her dagger. But she soon stopped that, not wanting to look any more pitiful.
"Right. So you can pick us up. Oooh, scary. I resent being called pitiful! You have a height advantage. Wonderful, doesn't that make you cool. And apparently I'm a 'human' now. I prefer to be called a 'girl' so I don't get put in the same category as the likes of Dante!" she commented, her arms folded, glaring up at the god. "You can let me down now! Your show of stranght has been effective enough. Let me down or I'll puke on you. You don't make a lot of friends holding people up in the air!"
Even as she felt more degraded than she had ever been, Fearn felt as if she was doing something reasonably useful. The god was probably distracted by her antics. She just hoped he wouldn't decide to throw her, step on her, or do anything else uncivilized.

Pere followed closely behind Anne as she inspected the ancient wheel. However, the ranger was more interested in the god.
"Anne...could you hurry up please?"
Drawing two arrows, Pere placed them carefully on the bow aiming for the back of the god's legs. With a smirk, the ranger released the string as the arrows flew through the air.

Elka screamed angrily as the god-king seized her and Fearn. "LET GO, YOU CURSED BRUTE!" she yelled, more mad than scared at this point. No one threw her around like a little kid's toy, no one!
Howling fierce war-cries of her own invention, she joined Fearn in the hand-cutting, pointless as it seemed. She laughed wildly when he seemed almost to snort fire. "Someone's got indigestion!" she yelled, grinning even as she contemplated how to get down. It seemed highly unlikely that even if she did get away that things would work in her favor, currently being so high up that getting dropped could be more than a little painful.
"I agree with Yelena; waving people around in the sky doesn't make you too many buddies, Apophis, my dear," Elka said, pretending to sound bored. "Why don't you just let us down, and get a brain while you're at it. Let's see if you're any smarter than the wall."

Post by Bishop on Feb 7, 2008 1:19:26 GMT -5
Bishop noticed that everyone was leaving after the shadow god showed up and ruined the party. When this happened Bishop also followed several shadows to the god. Most of shadow creatures stop listening to him once the king showed his self so now he didn’t have the help of all of the shadows as he wanted but there was still some that listened to him.
As the shadows and Bishop arrived at the house he noticed the paintings and highly sophisticated style of living the god chose to live under. So he began to walk toward the bedroom since most safes are in there thinking about robbing the place. When he could hear the noises of people yelling and that’s when he knew what he was walking into.
When he arrived at the room with the god and the others he looked surprised. The god looked to be winning against the five he saw earlier. Bishop started to laugh as he says “what is going on?” He then said in a sarcastic voice "yo Apophis do you need help? Well I am willing to help for a price of course...." Bishop was thinking about a large sum of money until he saw Dante in another set of armor.
He then said “you did hire me to stop them from coming here but since that didn’t happen I guess I can help you but my price has changed.”

"Gah--- Stupid, stupid!" Anne grew more and more frustrated as she started to pound her fists on the wheel of rye, trying to figure out exactly how to tap into its power. At this point, she had found an indentation on the wheel that her Dragon's eye fit into perfectly, but she was stumped at what to do next. Eventually, she found herself hitting her head on the wheel.
Apophis was occupied with Elka and Fearn and slowly started to tighten his grasp on them, for his own sick amusement.
"Let's see how long your so called friends will let you suffer your fate of having your blood and bones turned into a mass of blended paste! Do you hear that Princess and ranger over there? I know you wouldn't like to see your lovely companions crushed in my grasp... why don't you give up now... just destroy that dragon's eye, and I will grant you whatever you desire." the god hissed his lies at Peregrinus and Anne. "As for you, Bishop and Dante, it'd be beneficial if you two you also aid in the eye's destruction."
"Come ON!!!" Anne, ignoring the god's comments, began to rub her hand in a certain motion over the wheel, and it gradually began to shine a really bright, pure light. "yes... it's working!! It's working, it's over, Apophis! You're done!"
Apophis began to go into a fit of rage, as if he were hearing a loud painful noise. His form start to shrink gradually and he seemed to crumble towards the floor. "Hurry and destroy the eye, destroy them!! Now!!" the god violently roared orders to Bishop and Dante.

Fearn squeaked as the god tightened his grip on her. "That's really not cool, you know," she said, trying not to whimper or do anything else pitiful. "You don't really want squished human all over. That'd be gross."
This sucks like ^$&%. Ow, Fearn thought to herself, feeling like a capybara meeting an anaconda. What a pitiful end; her obituary would look very stupid saying, "Died after being used as stress ball by angry god."
Fearn threw a mental party when the god started shrinking. Maybe she would be spared being pancaked! She tried to throw herself out of his hand, fairly confident that this time she would be able to escape.

"Now, do you honestly think that a squashed girl would be any use to you?" Elka gasped, feeling rather embarrassed at her current situation. Getting squeezed to death did not sound very fun.
Suddenly she saw a light flare up from where Anne was. The monster holding her soon began to get smaller, and she fought her way after Fearn to try to get out of his grip. "Thanks for thinking I was lunch," she snapped grumpily, fighting her way free. "Since when have I looked like a sandwich?"

*everything is pitch black and silent for a moment, as two very severe blade slashes from an unknown origin are seen within the darkness........everything fades back to normal, as the volume does the same*
The king is slashed twice directly in the face from an immensely sharp blade so swiftly that it has no effect at the time. Meanwhile Apophis tightens his grip on Elka and Fearn as an outlet for his pain from the dragon eye's torture. A moment passes, he releases his grip completely as the two smaller figurines within his hand are finally set free. Apophis grabs his face so tightly it seems he's trying to crush his own skull, as blood from the earlier slices begin to rapidly squirt inbetween his fingers, yelling in agony.
In the near distance, this unknown person lands firmly upon the ground, knees bent, with his blade gripped within palm. He rises to his feet with his back turned towards Apophis as he twirls his blade swiftly and places it back into itz scabbard. He gradually opens his emotionless dark brown eyes after swiping the hair from his right eye as he turns to face the king. This man approaches the king with seemingly no fear, completely devoid of emotion, until he stood not far from this weakening, though still towering beast.
".....Your existance is a threat to this world..." said this mysterious, samurai-like warrior.
Apophis, not knowing this unknown attacker, was angered at what he believed was a cowardly cheapshot. Apophis finally released his face when the blood ceased to spurt, as he clutched both fists together and slammed them downward to this strange adversary. The warrior prepared to defend as he folded his arms into an X-shape above his head as the two colossal-sized fists slammed down upon him, putting immense pressure and tension on the warrior's body.
"Errmph!..." the warrior muttered, straining to maintain his composure.
The pressure was so intense that the warrior's feet began to gradually sink, breaking through the concrete floor underneath, breaking deeper and deeper as the two struggled against each other's force. Veins bulged through the muslces of the warrior til he closed his eyes, as everything glitched black with a distant sound of a ringing bell was heard.. The warrior's body glitched with a very faint white aura but disappeared promptly as he then fully extended his arms outward to opposite directions of his body. It seemed to have sent an intense invisible surge of force, which repelled the King's massive heavy arms backward away from the warrior.
The King groaned and was momentarily physically stunned from the invisible assault. The warrior took this time to gently sink to one knee as he lowered his head, clutching his diaphram silently. Perhaps it were from exhaustion?.. though it seemed as if it were something else weakening him from within....
Not yet knowing the King had already recovered, the warrior stood to his feet again and clenched his fist, as the King swiped the gigantic blade in his direction. The warrior seemed to disappear as the giant swipe sent debris flying everywhere with mass gusts of wind. The warrior had jumped nearly high enough to reach the decaying ceiling, as in midair he closed his eyes and extended his arms to the King below and with a few very strange hand motions, a bluish white aura-like symbol appeared infront of his palms. He propelled the magical aura symbol toward his target til it spread into a wave of light downward upon the dying King once making contact. Consecutively, the warrior had double-jumped onto a higher more sturdy platform just below the decaying ceiling.
He stood still, waiting for the explosion of wave light to dissapate...As his hair gently blew from the wind seeping through the ruined ceiling, he silently stared down as the smoke very slowly began to clear...
