"You mean we're up against a thing that can regrow heads?" Fearn asked indignantly, letting Elka steer the ship as she chose to help attack the monster. She fired an arrow into a head that was snapping at her, and that head pulled back for a moment, allowing her past. Seconds later, another furious head shot out to try and chew her up.
"How does one go about killing a hydra, anyways?" Fearn squeaked as the head snapped off the end of her braid, to her horror. "*&^%! No one bites off my hair!"

"Leave the heads!" Elka shouted, remembering what she had read in from the Book of Myths when she was little. "The hydra is noted for his ability to generate two heads for every one lost..." She cursed as one of the heads bit at her heels while she jumped hastily out of the way.
Abandoning the wheel for the time being, Elka leapt down, gripping Anne's old dagger. If only she could find a way to reach the creature's body...

Anne was being attacked by two serpents at once and they were alternating their attacks at her. She was pretty much dodging back and forth, rolling around on the deck, and trying to hide behind/under stuff. Eventually, one of the monsters ripped out a huge chunk of the ship, and on top of that, it began to storm really, really bad. "Elka's right!! Do not cut off any of their heads!! We either have to directly get him in the heart, or cut off the main head!!" Anne desperately tried to yell over at the monsters' roars. She looked out the in distance while she still avoided the monsters, noticing the main head approaching the ship. "There he is, it's the main head...!!!" The new beast that appeared was at least 3 times larger than the other ones. Anne gasped as she remembered an important feature on their pirate ship. "Theres a way to make the cannons come out of the sides of the side, but I don't know how to do it! If we can fire the cannons, all of this will be over!"

Dante ran to go climb the crows nest then grabbed his bag. Then one of the head tried to chomp at him. He quickly jumped down the crows nest then pulled a gernade out of his bag. He ran down to where the cannons were and pulled them out of the hole. "Here.." He said and gave Anne a gernade. "Load this in there. There weren't any cannon balls down there."

"It'll be entertaining if that explodes in the cannon," Fearn muttered, shooting into a head's gills. The head growled and bucked, smashing to the deck. Fearn backed up in disgust, only to trip over another neck. She darted forwards again, not wanting to become dinner and slipped on the water-soaked deck, smadhing to the ground again. Cursing, she leaped up again, and stomped on a head that was lying on the deck.
"Geez, why can't someone just throw the grenade already? Is it really so hard?" she growled, scampering away before the enraged head got revenge.

Sly's cry was the only thing that saved Pere from become fish food as a surprise head appeared behind him. Diving into the storage area, the ranger crashed heavily down the stairs. Suddenly, a flurry of arrows was seen flying from the lower level as they collided with the monster's face. The beast roared and splashed beneath the dark waters. Pere reappeared shortly afterwards.
"Sorry about that. Damn thing took me by surprise."

"Exploding in the cannon...."He looked into the cannon and saw that the pin was out of the gernade. "Oh My God!" He said then took the gernade out of the cannon then threw it in one of the mosters mouths. He waited as nothing seemed to happen. Then after nothing happend the Hydra was about to take another bite out of the ship untill...
[glow=red,2,300]BOOM![/glow]
The gernade exploded and the hydra's body parts and guts other chunks of meat just went flying everywhere. Dante looked at his clothes that had chunks of the hydra's parts all over him. The body parts also smelled....terrible. He gagged from the smell. He walked over to the side of the boat and saw that during the fight with the Hydra they had sailed even further into the black water..and there was still a terrible storm. "So Anne what exactly happend to those people that went into the black water?" he gulped.

"Ugh," Elka said, shaking her head to try to clear it of both the noise and scent. Rolf, meanwhile, seemed not to care at all about the disgusting incident that had just occured; on the contrary, he now was enjoying himself wolfing down the hydra's remains.
"Stupid dog, there's more to eat here than monster's guts!" Elka said, hauling the dog away from where he was eating. Looking over at the rest of the group on the boat, she saw that the water had turned blacker, never a good sign. "I love a good trip!" she shouted, laughing slightly insanely as she started trying to get the fish guts out of her clothes.

After being under a rather large slab of hydra meat, Anne emerged from the flesh after being crushed by it. She was drenched in all types of different hydra parts.
"Great! That was amazing!!" Anne said excitedly at the teamwork she witnessed, despite the fact that she looked like a totally different 'being' with all the gunk all over her. She looked out into the sea, noticing the pitch black water and was reminded of the knights' tales about the area they were sailing in.
"The hydra was one of the obstacles.... there's something else that I didn't understand though... the Knight said something about 'living dead souls.' I didn't know what he meant though, so I just ignored him.." Anne said naively, failing to notice the odd, larvae infested hand that clung to the side of the ship that seemed to be trying to get closer to her.
"I mean, how can a dead soul be living? I don't get it..." Anne tried to remove pieces of the hydra off of her clothes.

Ducking behind a box to escape most of the larger parts, Fearn nearly puked from the smell of burnt, broken hydra body. Still, that the creature was dead was enough to please her. Her moment of gloating was short lived, however, when she looked past Anne.
Fearn let out a weird, strangled yell, backing into the wall. "Knife, behind you! I think he meant something like that," she said in an odd voice, her eyes huge with fear as she reached slowly for her dagger, to scared to take her eyes off the disgusting hand. "Can you kill a dead thing?!"

Pere had walked right up from the storage area just to be creamed in hydra guts.
"Uh, gross!" Pere said as he tried to remove some of the disgusting go from his arms. As Fearn screamed, the ranger immediately looked for the new threat. Pere drew a rather slimy arrow and sent it sailing past Anne's arm, sticking the hand to the deck.
"What the heck is that?" He said as he moved to get a closer look at it.

"It might be a wild guess, but I'd say it would be the 'the living dead souls'. In other words, zombies." Knight said, brushing a few hydra guts off of his shoulder. As he drew his sword, he asked, "So, do we fight that which cannot die, or do we run?"

Anne looked in awe at the odd moldy looking hand that still moved around after being shot. She carefully walked over to the side of the ship and looked over the edge, noticing that more "living dead souls" were trying to climb up on the deck. Anne leaned over the side of the ship, slashing the zombies off the side with her sword. The violent waves alone were enough to send her tumbling over the egde into the sea.
"Keep 'em off, there's enough to pull the whole ship onto it's side down here!" Anne began to use her fist to knock the zombies off. Suddenly, she noticed off in the distance, the sky was up ahead was completely clear and harboured a beautiful lush island. Best of all, the water was no longer black. "There's an island up ahead!!"
A zombie had eventually grabbed a hold on Anne's arm and was pulling her over the side of the ship. Soon, five of them were pulling her. Anne ended up losing the fight and fell into the water, and didn't come back up, but it looked like alot of commotion was going on under the water.

"Anne!" Dante yelled then put his knife in his mouth and jumped into the water. He went down under the water and opened his eye, which slightly burned because of the salt. He looked around and saw Anne fighting off 5 zombies. He stabbed one of the zombies in the head and it died, but then another one grabbed him by the leg and started pulling him down into the water. He kept kicking at it untill it let go of him. Dante swam back over to Anne to help her knock off the zombies, but he was slowly starting to run out of breath. He still had that flash Gernade from earlier in his pocket, but it probably wouldn't work underwater.

Elka cursed as she saw the rotting creatures try to force their way onto the boat. Yelling wildly, she grabbed a piece of debris off of the deck and smashed one of them over the head (or rather, what remained of the head) with it. The zombie fell back into the water, only to be replaced by another crawling creature.
Clubbing at this monster as well, Elka saw Anne get dragged off of the boat, but it wasn't exactly as if she could do much about this. Firewood against zombies - once again, Elka felt stupid about her choice of weapons. No matter. As long as it worked until they reached land, it would have to do.

Knight quickly jumped into the water after Dante didn't come back up. As soon as he hit the water, he pulled his pocket knife out of his pocket slashed one of the living undead soul's throats. As it fell into the water, another one began to rise up. He kicked that one until it fell back down again, then began aiming for the one still holding on to Anne. He jammed his knife into the back of it's head, and turned towards the last one that was beggining to retreat. After Knight made sure they were all gone, he called up to the boat. "Anyone mind tossing a rope down here?"

The ship began to tilt from the continual onslaught on zombies. Pere fired an arrow into one as it reached the top railing. The arrow became lounged in the monster's head but did little to slow its progress.
"Damn undead!" Pere muttered under his breath. Charging the zombie, the ranger felt the decaying flesh get way as the corpse fell into the ocean. Sly let out a loud scream as it drove its talons into another zombie's face causing it to fall into the sea. Looking into the water, Pere tried to see where Anne and Dante had disappeared to.

Fearn shot at the zombies that were climbing up the side of the ship, so disgusted she could hardly look at them. The arrows only detered some, however, since unless they were knocked off the sides, the arrows did nothing to them.
It seemed as though after Anne was dragged in, everyone wanted to hop into the water. Fearn didn't, not really being a great swimmer.
Being on the ship did have its advantages though, since she could get Knight the rope. Fearn tossed a rather rotten, stinky coil down, and sat at the top shooting any zombies who tried to use it. Of course, she hadn't been counting on getting booted in the face by an undead that had snuck up behind her. Anne, Dante, and Knight would have to deal with clearing the rope themselves. Fearn was too busy in a fist fight with a zombie who was desperately trying to claw out her eyes.

Anne was so distracted by being pulled down into the water by zombies that she forgot she was about to drown. She delivered a powerful kick to another approaching zombie and proceeded to swim up to the surface. She signaled to Dante to follow her.
As she swam up to the surface, her hand swayed by a round orb-shaped object. She grabbed onto it, not bothering to open her eyes until she got out of the water. She noticed the rope and quickly grabbed onto it, gasping for air, and started to climb up the rope. She clutched the orb in her hand as she climbed, but then looked at it closely.
"My dragons' eye!?" Anne exclaimed. As soon as the dragon's eye was exposed in clear view, the zombies immediately seemed to take notice and retreat, very quickly. Anne was tempted to stop and stare, but she snapped out of it and kept climbing up.

Dante climbed up the rope after her. He looked and saw that Anne had gotten her dragon eye back somehow. He saw that once the zombies saw it they retreated....Somethings up with that dragon eye.... he thought. He got up onto the boat and saw land ahead. "YES!" He said and jumped up into the air. He shook his head to dry off his hair. then helped get rid of the remaining zombies.
