"I wanted you? I thought you wanted to talk to me. Isn't that the reason you bought me the drink?" Pere casted another glance over the girl as he watched the girl search tirelessly for something. It had to be the map. Smiling to himself, Pere turned and drank the Dragon's Breath, coughing again until the burn disappated.
"The name is Peregrinus by the way."

"Hmm, the dragons' eye never lies. I might as well finish him off now, he's seen what I'm after." Anne put her sacred icon away and pulled out a very narrow dart. On the tip of it was a powerful venom. Without wasting any time, she lauched the shard sized dart at the back of Pere's head. After that, she had already withdrawn her short sword and had her shield ready to block any oncoming attacks. She leaped and landed on top of a table, getting into an ancient stance of her royal bloodline.
She stood, anticipating his next move. Personally, she judged him to be a skilled ranger.

A piercing cry sounded through the room as the dart flew through the air. The ranger instintively ducked his head as the dart missed by inches. It continued on its path and became lounged in the wall narrowly missing the bartender. Pere turned to his trusted falcon sitting on a perch near the wall.
"Thanks, Sly." He now focused his attention on Fearn.
"Hold that answer for just one second. Someone wants to kill me." The ranger turned looking for his deadly attacker.
"Well, excuse me, but Miss, you need to be a little more careful. Someone could be harmed." The last sentence came out as a low growl as Pere drew his sword.

Anne smirked at Pere, since his skills matched the description of the mysterious warrior the bandit had told her about earlier perfectly. She glared at Pere with her piercing brown eyes and flipped her ponytail to the opposite side of her body.
"So, you're Peregrinus. You probably already know about the legendary pathway to the ancient sword of flames!! Even though you're a very powerful ranger, and also kinda handsome, I can't let you use that map for your own desires! No one can know about that map but me!" Anne seemed to go into a rage. She dashed at Pere and held her sword right to his throat, wanting to eliminate both him and his grasp on her map. However, she held back from attacking somewhat due to Fearn's presence.
"Hey there miss, I wouldn't like someone as innocent looking as you getting mixed up in all of this, you might want to flee now so noone suspects you of anything..." Anne looked over at Fearn from the corner of her eye, noticing that she was not too much younger than her.

Fearn snarled inarticulately, darting backwards as Anne attacked. "Innocent, eh? Are we forgetting that I'm want- er... If I was a defenseless wuss, do you think I'd be here in the first place?" she growled defensively. "And what's another murder? Seeing as we're all becoming butchers tonight..."
Still, Fearn was not looking forward to becoming a victim herself. She freed her dagger, and moved beyond the apparently mad woman's reach. In her opinion, the woman was likely a bit insane, impulsive, and by all accounts dangerous (but then again, the same went for Peregrinus).

Pere flipped his sword to permit Anne's sword from reaching his neck.
"Why thank you for the compliment. Although, I have heard of the legendary pathway. I have never seen it. So that is where that map leads? No wonder you want it back so badly." He said with a smile. By this time, the other people still in the bar began to edge away from the group. They could see a fight was going to start and no one wanted to get caught up in it.

While Pere was smiling at her, Anne was frowning. Her attack was easy evaded by his sword and she was heated because of it. It was clearly obvious to her that she was not going to win, but pridefully, she attepted to win anyways. She still clutched her short sword tightly in her hand and walked over to Pere closely and spoke to him in a whisper.
".....what do I have to do to get my map back..." she asked unenthusiastically. "That map is very valuable to me.... I'll do anything for it.... do you want another Dragon's breath or something? Gold? Spices? That pony over there!?" Anne pointed over at Fearn's pony as if it were her's. Anne was desperate.

Pere chuckled as the girl tried to barter for the map.
"Well if this map is as valuable as you say it is, why should I get it back to you for such a small amount?" The ranger lowered his sword slightly.
"Come on, impress me." With that, he turned to summon the barkeep, but he seemed to have vanished before the fight could break out.
"Now where did he run off to?"

"I-impress you...!?" Anne managed to choke out. "If you don't give me my map back within the next 10 seconds..." she ran over to Pere's falcon, grabbing it with both hands on its head area and slammed it down forcefully against a nearby table. The falcon fought back wildly and bit down into Anne's fingers, causing alot of bloodshed. She tried to endure through the pain.
"About how much do you value this animal? He's pretty large, I'm sure he'll make a great dinner. Like I said, 10 seconds or his neck will be destroyed." Anne smirked this time and leaned over to glare at him again in her trade-mark sultry way. She was somewhat nervous by what his next actions were going to be.

"You sell Aurum and I swear, I'll kill you in 5 seconds flat! She's my pony!" Fearn barked furiously, bounding towards Anne in anger. Nevermind the fact that she had a sword, or was apparently taking great joy in attacking the falcon. The pony had been Fearn's only companion for years. "I don't care what's on that map, legendary pathway or road to the inferno, it's not worth threatening Aurum!"
Fearn, while not taking sides in the fight, decided that she hated Anne. She was a lying snake, and had manipulated her before.

Pere remained motionless as Anne slammed his falcon into the table. However on the inside, he was screaming for her head to roll. She had no right attacking Sly. Drawing the map from his cloak, Pere held it out in front of him. Grabbing a candle from the bar, he held it dangerously close to the map.
"I'll give you three seconds to let go of the bird before I burn it. I can replace that bird, but I don't think you can replace this map." Of course, Pere could never replace Sly, but the woman didn't know that and Pere's face didn't allow it to show.

Anne let go of the falcon and withdrew her hands from the now twitching bird who was trying to get its energy back. She looked down at the blood all over her fingers.
"...." the brunette was silent crossed her arms, giving Pere a look. She also subconsciously knew that everyone that was brave enough to hang around and watch the whole situation was staring at her. Anne noticed the look of disgust and hate on Fearn's face towards her also, which caused Anne to keep her gaurd up even more. "I'm creating more enemies than allies, I need to stop this before my family bloodline is completely extinct."
Anne couldn't believe what she was about to do, but walked over to Pere as he held the map over a candle flame and looked at him with sincere, submissive eyes.
"Please, I'm sorry. Don't do that to that map...." Anne got on her knees and begged, holding her hands together. She still couldn't believe someone had brought her to the point of begging. "Please... I'll do anything, just don't destroy it."

Pere smiled as Anne began to beg.
"Well, the first thing you can do is apologize to my bird, and buy him a nice dinner." Sly, once released, had fluttered back over to his perch and was carefully purning his ruffled feathers.
"After that, you can tell me your name and maybe a little about yourself."

Fearn blinked, surprised at the woman's sudden attitude change. She mentally shrugged as she vaulted over a table and plopped down on a seat. "I'd like to hear that as well," she said leaning over to try and get a better look at the map that was in so high demand. "And what is it that makes this map so special?"
The entire situation was confusing to Fearn. People were trying to kill each other over a map, then all of a sudden engaging in conversation.

Anne whimpered somewhat, still shaken up from the potential abuse her map could've encountered.
"Okay, I'm just a traveling orphan in search of uhm... treasure." Anne said, leaving out many of the main details about herself. "I'm known around here as uhm, Knife."
Anne looked at both Fearn and Pere, somewhat embarrassed. "I hope you don't think I'm to crazy or anything, it's just that... the treasure I find on that map will solve all of my problems. Even my dragon's eye says so." she pulled out her dragon's eye from her pouch and it seemed to glow supernaturally.

Pere gave 'Knife' a puzzled look. A dragon's eye told her this? Maybe she was crazy after all. The ranger pulled his knife from his boot and began to clean underneath his fingernails thoughtless.
"How did the 'eye' tell you exactly?"

"It doesn't exactly tell... but it shows. It shows different people different things." Anne held the large orb of an eye right before Pere's eyes. It started to project odd images and shift from one scene to another. It was as if there was a world that was in touch with the future within the orb.
"It shows me the same ending over and over though. I find this legendary sword, but I have no idea how far away it is or anything." Anne spoke softly. The orb began to show images of Peregrinus traveling somewhere and eventually fighting a large beast. Anne put the eye in front of Fearn next.
"It's weird, isn't it?" Anne chuckled a little bit.

"I'd have to agree with that," Fearn said distractedly, looking inside of the eye. She saw flashes of light, then someone who looked like her madly firing a bow, and then alongside a large group of people, Aurum with her. Then it showed her a large alder tree in a deciduous forest, and someone flipping through a book next to it. Fearn pulled back, frowning up at Knife.
"Right. So I hope that isn't anything important or concrete. I didn't look rich or famous like I hoped to be," she stated flatly, pushing the eye away and leaning back on her seat. She twitched and tried not to wrinkle her nose; Peregrinus scratching away under his nails was driving her to insanity.

Pere was perplexed by the images that flashed through the dragon's eye. After the eye had left his vision, the ranger shook his head clear of his head. Rather quiet now, he replaced his knife back to his boot, and turned back to the bar. Suddenly getting up, Pere made his way outside.

Anne was caught off guard when Pere quickly fled from her and Fearn. She jumped up immediately.
"Where are you going!?" she followed after him outside quickly, tugging at his arm. "Please, I must have the map back, what do I have to do to get it from you?" Anne looked up into his eyes with sincerity, but noticed he looked troubled.
"Is something wrong, did you see something disturbing?" Anne asked him.
