The initial entry point of the city, this houses the lower-classed citizens; the farmers, bards, and other sorts.
While the people it houses may not be as wealthy as those in the upper city, the area itself compares to the noble areas you've seen in other cities.
The streets are paved with gold, dotted with stone houses and shops on either side. The street eventually turns into a large staircase, leading into the upper portion of the city.
There are various things of interest here;
a guild house is located just beyond the city's entrance - a bounty board is posted in front of the building.
Beyond that, lay the fields that produce the majority of the city's crops, the likes of which are being worked at near constantly by the farmers, with their wives and children nearby, typically handling the animals.
Farther up the road, lies a pub. The atmosphere of the building is very friendly, though its signs of age are quite obvious. Laughter can commonly be heard pouring out of it, coupled with the occasional drunken bar fight.
